On the 25 of April 1914 the first world war happened. Australia was under control by the British Empire for 13 years and New zealand for 7 years. World War 1 lasted 4 years. One major battle happened at Gallipoli in Turkey. Anzac soldiers landed at Gallipoli and majority of them got shot from on top of the mountain by the turkish troops.They got stuck at gallipoli for 8 months. They got rescued by the Anzac soldiers. The Anzac plan was to make a secret evacuation so the turkey troops won’t get suspicious. They came on a bout and told the Anzac troops to get on.
