 GUY FAWKES DAY 

Every 5th of november in britain on guy fawkes day we remember the gunpowder plot of 1605 when guy fawkes and his fellow catholic conspirators attempted to blow up parliament and assassinate james 1 of england guy fawkes day also called bonfire night british observance celebrated on november the 5th commemorating the failure of the gunpowder plot of 1605 the gunpowder plot conspirators led by robert cates were zealous roman catholics enraged at king james 1 refusing to grant greater religious tolerance to catholics the catholic plotters had intended to assassinate protestant king james 1 and his parliament celebrating that the king had survived people lit bonfire around london and months later the observance of 5th o f november act mandated an annal public day of thanksgiving for the plots failure his fellow were then hanged and quartered fawkes was the last to stand on the scaffold.

 The best pie has been found. 

Sopheap Long​, of Euro Patisserie in Torbay (Auckland), has won the coveted Supreme Award for her steak and cheese pie.

It is the first time that a female has taken out the prize.

The Supreme Pie is the best of the best, named by the competition’s judges to be the top entry among the 11 category winners.

Long’s pie beat out nearly 5000 entries from 465 bakeries around the country.

The pie includes chunky steak, surrounded by a rich, dark gravy. It is then topped with a semi-soft tangy cheese. Sounds yummy!

writing; anzac day

 On the 25 of April 1914 the first world war happened.  Australia was under control by the British Empire for 13 years and New zealand for 7 years. World War 1 lasted 4 years. One major battle happened  at Gallipoli in Turkey. Anzac soldiers landed at Gallipoli and majority of them got shot from on top of the mountain by the turkish troops.They got stuck at gallipoli for 8 months. They got rescued by the Anzac soldiers. The Anzac plan was to make a secret evacuation so the turkey troops won’t get suspicious. They came on a bout and told the Anzac troops to get on.

Samoan Language Week

 During Samoan Language Week, we learned all about Samoa and some legends of Samoa. We learned about Sina and the Eel. We made a Siapo and we made a Hub Tapa Cloth, using patterns and designs of the Samoan culture.We learned some Samoan words and phrases. We watched and listened to some Samoan songs and we learned some new songs and dances. we learned some facts like when there was a tsunami that killed lost of people.

 

 I do not wont a I phone it is expensive it might get stolen obvioysis you will agree that I do not want a phone.
